Welcome to Khatam.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Khatam application ("Khatam", "the App", "we", "our", or "us").
By downloading, accessing, or using Khatam, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. About Khatam
Khatam is a Quran recitation companion app designed to help users build a consistent, measurable, and meaningful Quran reading journey.
The App provides features such as:
- Quran reading and recitation support
- Reading progress tracking
- Reading preferences
- Reading reminders and notifications
- Other features designed to support a consistent Quran reading routine
Khatam does not require users to create an account.
2. Use of the App
You may use Khatam for personal and non-commercial purposes.
You agree to use the App responsibly and in accordance with:

- Applicable laws and regulations
- The intended purpose of the App
You must not:
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App.
- Reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App except where permitted by applicable law.
- Use the App for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or services associated with the App.
- Redistribute, reproduce, or commercially exploit the App without permission.
3. Quran Content
Khatam provides Quran-related content to support reading and recitation.
While we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and reliable content, users should understand that digital content may contain technical or formatting errors.
Khatam should be used as a reading and recitation companion and does not replace qualified scholars, teachers, or other authoritative religious resources.
Users are encouraged to verify religious matters, interpretations, translations, and recitation guidance with trusted and qualified sources when appropriate.
4. Reading Progress
Khatam may track your reading progress locally on your device.
Because Khatam does not require an account, your progress is not tied to an online user profile.
We do not guarantee that your progress will always be preserved. Progress may be lost if:
- The App is deleted.
- Application data is cleared.
- Your device is reset.
- Your device is replaced.
- The operating system removes or modifies application data.
- A technical issue occurs.
You are responsible for any locally stored progress and settings.
5. Reminders and Notifications
Khatam may provide optional reminders to encourage regular Quran reading.
Reminder delivery depends on your device, operating system, notification settings, battery settings, and other system-level factors.
We do not guarantee that every scheduled reminder will be delivered at the exact scheduled time.
You can disable reminders through the App or your device settings.
6. Availability of the App
We aim to keep Khatam available and functioning properly. However, we do not guarantee that the App will always be:
- Available without interruption
- Free from bugs or errors
- Compatible with every device or operating system
- Available indefinitely
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update parts of the App at any time.
7. Updates
Khatam may receive updates from time to time.
Updates may include:
- Bug fixes
- Security improvements
- Performance improvements
- New features
- Changes to existing features
- Changes to Quran reading or presentation functionality
Some updates may be required for continued use of the App.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Khatam and its original components, including its software, interface, design, branding, graphics, and other original materials, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials without appropriate authorization.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of Khatam or its intellectual property.

Khatam may, now or in the future, use third-party services or contain links to third-party services.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, content, policies, or practices of third-party services.
10. Disclaimer
Khatam is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We make no guarantees regarding:
- The uninterrupted availability of the App
- The absence of errors or defects
- The preservation of locally stored reading progress
- The availability or accuracy of device notifications
- Compatibility with every device or operating system
Khatam is intended to support your Quran reading journey and should not be considered a substitute for qualified religious instruction or scholarly guidance.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Khatam and its developers, owners, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from or related to your use of the App.
This includes, where applicable, loss of locally stored reading progress, data, or settings.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using Khatam at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.
We may suspend or discontinue the App, or restrict access to certain features, when reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, legal, or technical reasons.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of Khatam after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Khatam is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of Khatam shall be handled in accordance with applicable law.
